It's funny cos I was originally going for yellow gumboots, thinking they might be the footwear of choice for a jazz-cool croc captive of the 60's / early 70's. But something changed along the way ... No matter, Germaine knows that back then you could wear anything pool-side without drawing judgement.

gumboots! after posting that comment i thought that maybe they were yellow desert boots, such as those worn by most intrepid animal poker-ers...
